Dear Jesus-It is only fitting that I am here on Christmas Day to investigate and commemorate this military crash site.
It is the heart of your gospel to remember the stranger. I pray that what I have done here today will lead to those who lost their lives here in the service of their country being remembered again and not forgotten. Bless this cross, which faces east toward home and Edwards Airforce Base, made from wreckage pieces and the rebuilt memorial. May it honor all airmen who have lost their lives in the Mojave Desert of Southern California.
